DIV-01 // Strategic Intelligence Protocol: Grill Mastery

Tactical Guide: Papa’s Burgeria

Mission Objective: Manage the Grill Station during the lunch rush.
Focus: Meat Doneness, Heat Lamp Management, and Vertical Stacking.

Operational Overview: Papa’s Burgeria is the classic that started the craze. While simpler than its successors, it is unforgiving regarding Temperature Control. You must juggle patties cooked to three different levels (Rare, Medium, Well-Done) simultaneously without burning them.

Phase 1: Grill Station (Thermal Logistics)

The timer circle is your lifeline. You must flip the patty halfway through cooking to ensure even heat.

  • The Flip: Flip when the timer reaches 50%. If you flip too late, the first side burns. If you don’t flip at all, the customer receives a raw side.
  • Doneness Levels:
    • Blue: Rare (Pull immediately after flip finishes).
    • Orange: Medium (Wait for the orange indicator).
    • Red: Well-Done (Wait for the red indicator).

FIELD TIP: THE HEAT LAMP PROTOCOL
You can buy a Heat Lamp in the shop. This allows you to cook patties before customers arrive and store them without them getting cold or overcooked. Always keep 2-3 “Medium” patties under the lamp during a rush.

Phase 2: Build Station (Stack Stability)

In Burgeria, the physics engine monitors the center of gravity. If you stack ingredients haphazardly, the burger will lean or topple.

  • The Center Drop: Aim for the exact center of the bun. Use the mouse shadow as a guide.
  • Sauce Physics: Unlike the solid ingredients, sauces (Ketchup/Mustard/Mayo) must be applied in a loose circle. Do not dump them all in one spot, or you lose points for messy presentation.
  • Order Accuracy: Pay attention to the “Top Bun” request. Some orders are open-faced; putting a top bun on them is an error.

Phase 3: Critical Equipment Unlocks

To survive the “Closer” customers, you need speed upgrades.

RankUpgradeStrategic Benefit
Rank 2DoorbellAuditory alert when customers enter, freeing your eyes for the grill.
Rank 5Heat LampAllows patty storage. The single most important upgrade in the game.
Rank 10Meat TimerDisplays a visual alert when meat is ready to flip or pull.

🛑 Field Troubleshooting (FAQ)

Q: Why did I get a 0% Waiting Score?
A: You ignored the customer at the counter too long. Even if you are grilling, you must click the customer to take their ticket. The “Waiting” timer starts the moment they walk in the door.

Q: My burger toppled over. Can I fix it?
A: No. Once an ingredient is placed, it cannot be moved. You must trash the entire burger and start over, or serve it for a terrible score.

Q: What is a “Blue Ribbon”?
A: A Blue Ribbon is awarded for a “Perfect” order (100% in all categories). Earning 5 Blue Ribbons with a single customer grants them Gold Status, permanently increasing their tip amount.
